There's Just Something About That Name "JESUS"
By: Cindy Feeman

This happens to be a song title of one of my Mother's favorite songs. In 2004, when she was suffering from cancer, this song was a source of great comfort to her. She knew the power that just speaking that name entailed. She totally depended on Jesus.
We should have JESUS in every area of our lives.

Anything you ask in my name, I will do it.    John 14:14

His name is above every name.    Phil 2:9

At the name of JESUS, every knee shall bow and every tongue will confess that He is Lord. Phil. 2:10-11

We are to be baptized in the name of Jesus for the remission of sins.    Acts :38

There is no other name than the name of Jesus by which we can be saved.    Acts 4:12

The lame can walk in the name of Jesus.    Acts 3:6

Whosoever believes in the name of Jesus shall have eternal life.    I John 5:13

By believing that Jesus is Lord, we can have life through his name.    John 20:31

we give thanks for all things in Jesus name.    Eph 5:20

Where 2 or 3 are gathered together in the name of Jesus He will be in the midst of them.    Matt 18:20

We are washed, sanctified, and justified in  the name of Jesus.    I Cor 5:17

Everything we do or say should be done in the name of Jesus. Col 3:17

Demons were cast out in the name of Jesus.    Acts 16:18 & Mark 16:17

The name Jesus literally means YHWH saves, and Jesus was given that name because he will save his people from their sins.    Matt 1:21

His name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father and Prince of Peace.    Isaiah 9:6

His name is the Word.    John 1:1

His name is the Son of God.    Luke 22:10

His name is the Son of Man.    Matt 16:13

His name is the Lamb of God.    John 8:58

His name is the Great I Am.    John 5:58

His name is Alpha and Omega.    Rev 22:13

To Everything There is a Season
By: Cindy Feeman

Winter, although it can be beautiful at times, usually represents cold and barrenness. Unlike Spring which breaths a breath of hope and promise. It has the influence of new beginnings, new energies and new efforts.
At some point in our life time we all experience each season in our spiritual walk. we go through the winter wondering if spring will ever come and then it happens. A crocus will peek out through the snow covered hill with the hint that Spring is indeed on its way. a renewing is close at hand.

This past year has been a wintery trial for me health wise. A lot of suffering and pain, some discouragement and at times a feeling of helplessness. Struggling each day to see that crocus peek its head out bringing hope. I knew in my spirit that Spring would come again.
The SONshining, the of his promise and the power of hope. I see the crocus!!!
This allows me to know that Spring is arriving. Spring is really a new display of God's presence and power. A renewal which comes forth from divine energy. What He does in the natural world, He also does in the spiritual realm. There are times of refreshing from the Lord, a veritable Springtime. A time of depression and barrenness should succeed by a time of new life and new spiritual energy. The Springtime is a period of renewed joy and hope.
The Springtime should have a message of influence for us and I realized I can't experience that Springtime without first going through the Winter.

Thank God for the crocus peeking through.

Spring Cleaning
By: Cindy Feeman

It's that time of year again! Time for Spring cleaning. Time to sort, declutter, discard and donate. Cleaning windows so we can see clearly. Clearing out cobwebs, dusting, and scrubbing every nook and crannie.

When Spring cleaning is complete we all enjoy the end result. Everything looks brighter and feels lighter and we have a sense of accomplishment. But reaching that result can be painful and dreaded. At least it is for me.
My Mother actually enjoyed Spring cleaning, I think because it brought back fond memories with her Grandma. If I heard my Mom say this once, I've heard it a million times, "Jesus wants His temple clean from ceiling to the floor. He wants even the little cracks and in behind the doors!"

Since we are temples of the Holy Ghost we too need to Spring clean our spiritual temple. all though it can be painful, the end result is definitely worth it. Spring cleaning, while worth the effort, will only last for a season, but spiritual cleansing could have eternal influence. so dust off that Bible and get the cobwebs out of your prayer closet. The Bible encourages us to draw close to God and allow our hearts and bodies to be cleansed.

This is the first step in our Spring cleaning project. But we must ask God to do the cleansing. Cleanse your heart. Psalm 51:10 says "Create in me a clean heart, O God and renew a right spirit within me". Our hearts can harbor a lot of dirty and evil things. Jealousy, envy, hate, lust, guilt... just to name a few. The spirit of God can wash away those sins and cleanse us with pure water.

Step two... Clean your mouth. Spiritual cleansing requires "deep" cleaning. Its cleansing that goes beyond what others see and hear. It's cleansing from the inside out. If your heart gets clean, the mouth should follow.
"...From the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh." Luke 6:26

Step three - Renew your mind. Take out the garbage. This is a big struggle for most of us. We must feed our mind and spirit with the word of God instead of the garbage of this world. Romans 12:2 states, "Be not conformed to this world, but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God."

Repent of hidden sins and get rid of old baggage... release unforgiveness and bitterness. Any sin will weigh you down, but long kept unforgiveness and bitterness is like old baggage in the attic. Sometimes we are so familiar with it we don't realize it's there and how it's hindering our lives. "Wherefore seeing we are compassed with so great a witness, let us lay aside every weight, and sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us." Hebrews 12:1

Involve Jesus in your daily life. Let the SON shine in. Let the light of God's presence shine into every part of your temple, and you'll have no need for a yearly spiritual cleansing. Instead, experience daily, moment to moment refreshing of your spirit.
