5 Ways to Live Victorious

5 Ways to Live Victorious
Sis. Cindy Feeman

I came across these 5 steps in an old journal I had and wanted to share.

1. Refuse to be a victim.
Self pity in its early stage is as snug as a feather mattress. Only when it hardens does it become "uncomfortable". "A wise woman wishes to be no ones enemy and refuses to be anyone's victim."

2. Forgive.
"It's the greatest gift to yourself."

3. Reject defeat.
"I can be changed by what happens to me, but I refuse to be reduced by it."
Life will throw everything it has at you, that doesn't mean you can't throw a few things back dig in your heels, and make up your mind to come out the winner. You have the ability to emerge from lives storms, a stronger, better person. But it's going to take equal parts of faith and gumption on your part.

4. Create your own happiness.
Determine to live your life with flair and laughter.

5. Realize your greatness in God....
All of His promises are yours!

A Journey

A Journey
Sis. Cindy Feeman

I recently watched an  old "Gunsmoke" video where Marshall Dillon was tracking an outlaw to bring him to justice. The journey started out very smoothly because the tracks were easy to follow. But the farther he went the rougher the trail got, through rough and rugged terrain, hills, valleys, dry baroness with no sight of any tracks... he continued on through hardness, the doubt and feeling of hopelessness... trusting in the outcome of his destination.

FAITH is just like that journey you have never been on before. You can only trust in the words of experienced travelers before you that have been down that path. Like faith, you won't see evidence that the final destination is worth it until you take that first step.

As you step you will hear whispers of experienced hikers... "Stay on track" .... "Follow the course". Even when its through the rough and rocky terrain and you may stagger and stumble... just keep trusting... climbing those rough rocks will help you get to the top... the victory.
As the feeling of doubt and hopelessness beats down on you and you may feel weak and tired on this journey... God will be that cool refreshing drink that can restore.

Matt. 11:28 "Come unto me all ye that labor and are heavy laden and I will give you rest."

Acts 3:20 "...that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord."

Lord, strengthen the weary and renew our hearts. Revive us when we are dying and make new the dead, the stagnant and the broken. Purify our hearts so that we can find times of refreshing in your presence. We ask that you fill us to overflowing, because we can't pour out if we are empty and dry. Just being with you is what we long for. Refresh us, Lord, as we travel this path.

So continue on your journey, the victory will be beautiful and glorious!
